Joseph Chan is a graduate of the massage therapy program at Sutherland-Chan: School and Teaching Clinic. He is a member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) and the Registered Massage Therapists’ Association of Ontario (RMTAO). During his time at Sutherland-Chan, Joseph was fortunate enough to be exposed to a variety of clinical conditions. He has received extensive training in treatment-based massage and relaxation massage. As well, he has experience working with clients with CNS disorders (i.e. Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy),the elderly, and cancer patients. Prior to his massage therapy training, Joseph completed his degree in Kinesiology and Health Sciences at York University in 2004. After graduating from university, he gained certification as a Certified Fitness Consultant (CFC), where he performs fitness appraisals in accordance to the Canadian Physical Activity and Lifestyle Appraisal (CPAFLA). Presently, Joseph is perusing further studies at Humber College to become a paramedic.
